LipSense Liquid Lip Color #Review #Sponsored

"I have been given this product as part of a product review through Bloggy Moms. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company. "

I love a good lipstick, but hate having to reapply it multiple times a day. I am always looking for great makeup products that actually do what they advertise to do. As the self-proclaimed Migraine Diva, I take great pride in looking the part (when chronic migraine allows!). Just because I have multiple chronic illnesses doesn't mean that I don't enjoy getting dolled up.

It isn't every day that I wear a full face of makeup, however, I do like to wear a nice lip color and a little mascara when I do go out to run errands.  Throughout the day, lip color wears off from eating, talking, drinking, etc. It can be quite the pain to reapply after having a quick bite to eat or something to drink.

I'm the type of person who likes to set it and forget it.  The last thing I want to worry about is whether or not my lip color has faded or smeared.  With LipSense, I can enjoy long-lasting lip color and have the perfect kissable pout all day!

LipSense Long Lasting Lip Color

Moisturizing Gloss in Matte Gloss
LipSense is a unique waterproof, kiss-proof, smear-proof long lasting lip color that is guaranteed to last 4-18 hours.  It doesn't contain any lead, wax or gluten, is vegan and kosher, and is animal cruelty free!  And it is made right here in the United States.

Applying LipSense is easy for a look that lasts almost all day.  First prepare your lips by cleaning and drying them.  I like to use a lip exfoliator before applying any lip color.  It removes dead skin and makes the lips soft and smooth.  Apply the lip color in three layers by swiping on a thin layer in one direction, keeping your mouth open and waiting ten seconds between each one.

You may feel a tingling sensation, which is quite normal.  It is caused by the cosmetic grade Denatured Alcohol which creates a bacteria free environment in the tube.  The tingling is more noticeable if you have very dry lips, but not to worry!  The tingling goes away immediately once the gloss is applied.

Perfect lips four hours after eating
and drinking coffee!
Lastly, apply the shea butter based gloss at least five seconds after the color to seal it in and to keep your lips moisturized.  Make sure to reapply the gloss before meals for long-lasting color.  If you notice that the lip color doesn't last a full 18 hours, it may be due to your lips exfoliating.  LipSense works to take off dead, wax-build up on your lips...cool right?!

I wore my LipSense color system for a week straight and I loved it.  Not only did I have beautiful lips that lasted all day, my lips got smoother too.  At night, I would use the gloss to help speed up the exfoliation process after removing the lip color.  How do you take off a long-lasting lip color at the end of the day?  It's pretty simple...

There are a few ways to remove LipSense.  You can use their Ooops remover, an oil-based makeup remover, a Neutrogena original unscented bar soap, or Castille soap.  I first wash my lips with the Neutrogena soap and use coconut oil to help remove any lingering color.

If you really enjoy a long-lasting lip color that actually works, I highly recommend buying Lipsense!  There are several beautiful colors to choose from including warm, cool, and neutral shades and many different glosses as well. Lip colors are $24.99 and glosses are $19.99.  Make your purchase at www.redgatebeauty.com and receive a 15% discount.  Use the coupon code: bloggymoms15 at checkout!  RedGate Beauty offers free shipping and no sales tax too!
