SWHR’s Migraine Patient Toolkit: Living Well with Migraine

Women are three times more likely than men to suffer from migraine, a common neurological disease characterized by symptoms that include debilitating head pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. People with migraine can enhance their quality of life by combining medical treatments with practice of wellness strategies. To help individuals with migraine on their journey toward wellness, the Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) has created the Migraine Patient Toolkit: Living Well with Migraine, which features information on balancing wellness across areas such as physical, emotional, and work wellness. This toolkit is a follow-up to SWHR’s first patient toolkit, which was designed to help patients understand the basics of migraine diagnosis and treatment.

Living well with migraine is possible. Vetted by migraine experts and patients, SWHR’s Living Well with Migraine toolkit offers a starting point for those at the beginning of their wellness journey as well as important information for patients who may already be working to improve their quality of life in the face of migraine.
