1. Fibromyalgia pain can be very mild for some to extremely severe for others, causing a significant impact to their quality of life.
2. Diagnosing fibromyalgia often takes time and can be difficult. There is no lab test to determine if a person indeed has fibromyalgia syndrome, i.e. an x-ray or blood test. A physical exam and a person's symptoms are used as a diagnostic tool, although many of the symptoms overlap with other similar conditions, making it challenging to confirm fibromyalgia.
3. Onset of fibromyalgia is typically caused by a physically and stressful traumatic event, such as an automobile accident, or repetitive injuries.
4. Fibromyalgia affects about 5 million people, with 80 to 90 percent being women. Men and children can also be affected by fibromyalgia.
I will post the answer tomorrow. ツ Good luck!
