Community, Support and Understanding with Migraine Healthline

Community, Support & Understanding with Migraine Healthline

If you read my post a few weeks back introducing the new Migraine Healthline app, then you got a pretty good idea of what was featured. With their many groups, nightly live chats, member matching, and the support offered and given by members it has turned out to be an amazing resource for anyone living with migraine and headache.

I have been using Migraine Healthline for about three weeks now and I would like to share my top three favorite things with you.

Welcome Home

As soon as you open Migraine Healthline you're home. You are welcomed with a variety of topics to respond to, members to connect with, and articles to read. It is here that you'll see a snapshot of what's going on within the groups as well as general comments. The home screen is a great starting place to see what's been happening in the app while you were away.

Groups

The groups section might be my most favorite area! There are so many different topic areas in which you can explore, find support, ask questions or simply find inspiration and motivation. I find myself in these groups the most:

  • Inspiration - A place to look for advice, find resources and share personal stories.
  • Mental Health - An open and safe place to talk about depression, anxiety, and stress.
  • Medication and treatments - Find out about the latest treatments for migraine, ask questions about over-the-counter and prescription medications, and share what side effects you are experiencing.
  • Lifestyle - What lifestyle changes have you made to manage your migraine? Share in this group if you made modifications to your diet, started a new exercise routine, or incorporated self-care.
  • Migraine Strong - This is where you get to remember exactly how strong you really are! Through sharing educational resources and stories of strength and hope, you are sure to never feel alone again in your migraine journey.

Live Chats

I love when there is a live chat! A few nights a week, you can be sure to see a live chat in one of the groups. Whether it's about navigating healthcare, managing migraine and depression, or learning how to make lifestyle changes, you'll be sure to have an extremely interactive conversation!

Live chats are led either by our Guide Eileen or one of the app Ambassadors. Live chats are a great opportunity to connect with members and share what is helping you along in your journey to living a life with less pain.

Are you ready to download the app? Great! Click here and you'll be on your way to connecting with some great people. Already have it? Leave me a comment on how you like it!

Join me tomorrow for my FIRST Live Chat in the Mental Health Group! I go live at 5PM PT/8PM ET.

Our topic of discussion will be discussing how to stop personifying our illness and symptoms to live more positively with chronic pain, depression and anxiety.
