#MHAMBC Day 16 - Color of Hope

What Color Is Hope? Colors can be very powerful. They can give an impression in a single glance and affect how we feel. What color do you envision when you think of hope? As best you can, tell us why and how that color makes you feel.

I never really paid much attention to hope and color.  If I were to close my eyes and envision hope, what would I see?  For some it might be purple as that is the color that represents Migraine and headache disorders.  But for me, I see yellow.  I'm not sure why that it is, but whenever I pray or think about hope and faith, I see bright yellow rays of light.  To learn about what the color yellow represents, I did a little Google search and was surprised by what I found.

Mind and intellect: From a color psychology perspective, yellow stimulates our mental faculties; it activates the left or analytical brain.
Happiness and fun: Yellow is uplifting to the spirits; yellow helps create enthusiasm for life and can awaken greater confidence and optimism.
Communication of New Ideas: Yellow is related to the expression and integration of new ideas and thoughts. (Source: Empower Yourself With Color Psychology)

Yellow makes me feel hopeful, clear headed, and creative.  My mind seems to be sharper and my mental acuity is greater.  In a faith standpoint, I see and project yellow whenever I pray.  I feel a greater connection and closeness to God through the color yellow.  And just as the sunrise brings the promise of a new day, yellow renews my spirit and brings the promise of something better in my life.  It brings me peace, tranquility and a sense of calm. I am encouraged to keep putting one foot in front of the other.  I imagine a world where anything is possible and I am capable of doing whatever I put my mind to.  It is pretty cool to have gained this knowledge about my color of hope.  Everything seems to be right on target with my personality and it makes perfect sense that yellow is what I see in regard to how I feel about my mind, happiness and creativeness.  Give it a try and see which colors manifest when you envision hope.  You may be pleasantly surprised by what comes up!
